KARACHI: Sindh government has issued a notification which imposed a ban on the collection of animal hides, on Eid-ul-Azha, without seeking permission from the relevant authorities.
According to the notification, no political, religious, and social organization is allowed to collect the animal hides without obtaining prior permission from the Sindh government.
Setting up camps, usage of flags and loudspeakers and asking for hides by force or carrying weapons is also not allowed, the notification added.
The ban has been imposed under section 144 and those who violate the rules would suffer an investigation.
The Punjab Home Department had also notified the organisations not to collect the animal hides and donations.
The notification read that those who want to collect hides and donations must seek for permission to the deputy commissioner office till August 15.
