LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said on Wednesday Maryam Nawaz’s appearance before Joint Investigation Team (JIT) is due to statement of Hussain Nawaz.
Addressing a press conference to comment over Maryam’s appearance before the JIT at the PTI Chairman Secretariat, he was of the view that his party only held the PM accountable but the Sharifs dragged themselves by their own statements especially accepting ownership of London apartments. He said that Hussain Nawaz had admitted to owning property in London before the JIT.
He claimed that Hussain Nawaz put entire blame of their money making on to his grandfather Mian Sharif while Nawaz Sharif got his children involved in order to save his own skin.
About the remarks of Maryam Nawaz for having no charges against them, Chaudhry termed it rubbish, alleging that she kept changing her statements.
He condemned the A-category security-cum-protocol provided to Maryam.
He claimed that the Sharifs property was present in countries like Germany, Russia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia which are yet to be acknowledged.
He also said that Raymond Davis mentioned Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif in his book “The Contractor: How I Landed in a Pakistani Prison and Ignited a Diplomatic Crisis”.
The PTI leader predicted that the Nawaz League would divide after the PM’s ineligibility.
