LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) head Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said that he will serve the public unconditionally as long as he is alive.
“The journey to serve the public unconditionally continues. It is a matter of life and death for me and I will serve the public as long as I am alive,” Shehbaz said while speaking to the media in Lahore.
Referring to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s speech during the party’s rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, Shehbaz said that “those who oppose a developed Pakistan have tried to best to undermine PML-N’s efforts.”
He added that “those who have caused all sorts of problems for the public are feeling enraged since the country is en-route to development” and that development comes via practical implementation and not via “meaningless slogans”.
He continued that the politics of PML-N is to serve the general public and to ensure development and that welfare projects across the country have reached and are nearing successful completion despite hurdles.
